The first day of your cruise is a great time to explore the ship. A lot of guests head straight to the buffet for a quick bite to eat so it can get quite busy, consider checking out the deck plan or onboard newsletter to see what other dining options are available.
Most bars and public areas will be open until the captain calls for the muster (lifeboat) drill. This safety drill is mandatory and every guest onboard must attend. Once the captain announces muster drill is commencing you should consult either your room key or a member of staff to guide you to your meeting point.
Once the safety drill is complete its time for your sailaway party which will be announced by your cruise director.
