WHAT HAPPENS IF MY TRIP IS DELAYED OR CANCELLED?
If you purchased a CSA Travel Protection plan it can provide reimbursement for unused, non-refundable, pre-paid trip costs if you are prevented from taking your trip due to a covered reason or if your trip is interrupted due to a covered reason. If your trip is interrupted, the plan can also provide reimbursement for the additional transportation cost to return home or rejoin your group.
The plan can also provide coverage for other reasonable, additional expenses incurred such as accommodations, meals and local transportation if you are delayed due to a covered reason for 6 hours or more during your trip.
WHAT IF I NEED TO MOVE MY TRIP TO ANOTHER DATE?
If you have to change your trip dates after the 10-day free look, you can transfer the existing plan by calling CSA at (800) 834-8438. You can transfer your plan to another trip as long as that trip falls within 18 months of the original policy purchase date and you haven’t filed a claim.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I GET LAID OFF FROM MY JOB?
If the job loss is due to an involuntary termination of employment or layoff, occurs 14 days or more after your coverage has taken effect and takes place after continuous employment with the same employer for 1 year or more, the insurance plan can provide coverage for your trip cost if you cancel. Note that this benefit is not available to temporary employees, independent contractors or self-employed persons.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I HAVE TO CANCEL MY TRIP?
First, notify us or your travel supplier that you are canceling.
Then obtain the appropriate claim forms either by calling CSA Travel Protection toll-free at (800) 541-3522 or by visiting them online at www.csaclaims.com.
