The Code: Carnival's evening dress code is generally "cruise casual," except for one or two "cruise elegant" evenings per voyage. On "cruise casual" nights, men are recommended to wear sport slacks, khakis, jeans (no cut-offs), long dress shorts, and collared sports shirts, while women are recommended to wear casual dresses, casual skirts, or pants and blouses, summer dresses, capri pants, dress shorts and jeans (no cut-offs). On "cruise elegant" nights, dress slacks, dress shirts, and sport coats (optional) are suggested for men, and cocktail dresses, pantsuits, elegant skirts, and blouses are suggested for women. Although formal wear like tuxedos, suits, or evening gowns are not required, some passengers may choose to dress up.
Number of Formal Nights: There are two "cruise elegant" evenings on a seven-night cruise and one on shorter cruises.
Nightly Casual Option: Lido restaurants are open nightly with a casual dress code, providing a more relaxed option for those not wanting to dress up.
Written Restrictions and Jeans: During dinner in the dining room, gym and basketball shorts, beach flip-flops, bathing suit attire, cut-off jeans, caps, and sleeveless shirts for men are not permitted.
