Stateroom categories are classifications used by cruise lines to distinguish between the different types of cabins available on their ships. In general, there are four main categories of staterooms:
- Interior: These staterooms do not have a window or balcony and are typically the most affordable option.
- Oceanview: These staterooms have a window or porthole that allows for natural light and views of the ocean.
- Balcony/Verandah: These staterooms have a private balcony that guests can walk out onto and enjoy fresh air and views of the ocean.
- Suite: These staterooms are larger in size than other categories and come with a range of amenities and perks such as priority embarkation, complimentary drinks, and more.
Within each of these categories, there may be additional subcategories that offer different amenities or better locations on the ship.
